When you visit, or request information on you may be asked to provide certain information about yourself including your name and contact details.

We may also collect information about your usage of our website as well as information about you from messages you post to the website and e-mails or letters you send to us.

To maintain customer service standards and to assist staff training, we may record and monitor incoming/outgoing phone calls.


Your information will enable us to provide you with access to all parts of our website and to supply the information you have requested. It will also enable us to contact you where necessary concerning your enquiry. We will also use and analyse the information we collect so that we can administer, support, improve and develop our business.

In particular, we may use your information to contact you for your views on our services and to notify you occasionally about important changes or developments to the website or our services. Further, where you have consented, we might also use your information to let you know by email about other products and services which we offer which may be of interest to you. If you change your mind about being contacted in the future, please let us know.

Bookings must be cancelled by 3pm one day prior (24 hours) to arrival unless otherwise specified when booking. A one night’s room charge will be charged for guests who do not cancel their reservation within the hotel's cancellation policy. Peak periods and bank holidays may have additional cancellation restrictions which are stated during the booking process.

The hotel reserves the right to cancel a booking at any time before the check in date. This would normally only be necessary to accommodate any building work or other unforeseen circumstances. In these cases, we will refund in full all money received by us for the booking but we not have any liability beyond this. We will assist where possible to find alternative accommodation.


Check-In time is from 3pm. Check-Out time is 11am at the latest. Early Check-In is by request only and not guaranteed. Late Check-Out must be coordinated with the hotel if it is available.


The Walton Hotel by Tarry Boutique Hotels requires ‘all’ guests to provide a valid credit or debit card on check- in. The hotel will pre-authorise your card for your full room rate (unless room rate paid in advance) plus £50 per night per room for any additional charges which you may incur during your stay with us. Payment can still be made in CASH on check-out for any charges if incurred.

A ‘pre-authorisation’ is not a charge. The guests’ issuing bank/credit card company holds the pre-authorised amount temporarily from the available balance of the card holder’s account for the hotel to use.

Pre-authorisation is a common process followed within hotels in the UK at check-in. The way it works is that a pre-authorisation request is made by the hotel’s card terminal to the card holders’ bank, your bank/credit card company authorises the funds and sends an authorisation code to the hotel. This confirms the availability of the requested funds in the card holder’s account to cover charges in the hotel (if any).

This authorisation code is expected to be used when the transaction is about to complete (that is on check-out). If the authorisation code given by your bank/credit card company is not used by the hotel, this means that your account had no incidental charges during the stay OR the hotel has secured funds through other means (Cash or another card) and has had no need to use those blocked funds OR does not wish to proceed with the transaction due to other reasons.

If on check out, a guest decides to pay using Cash or with an alternative credit/debit card (different to the one provided on arrival); the amount taken from the first credit/debit card normally takes 5-7 working days to be released back to your card by your own issuing bank or credit card company. Some issuing banks and building societies may take longer specially for cards issued outside of the United Kingdom.

If you have any queries or problems regarding the pre-authorisation after check out please contact your issuing bank/credit card company. The Walton Hotel by Tarry Boutique Hotels accepts no responsibility for any bank or credit card charges should your account become overdrawn as a result of this.


Guests’ liability for their account is not waived and guests agree to be held personally liable in the event that any indicated person, group, company or association fails to pay all or part of any charges incurred.


We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage or soiling, caused by the accidental, deliberate, negligent or reckless act of the guest to the hotel’s property or structure. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit / debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address.

9am - Midnight  - Monday - Thursday

9am - 1.00am - Friday & Saturday

9am - 11.30pm - Sunday


The Hotel car park is situated at the rear of the hotel where there is limited parking for hotel residents. There are parking spaces surrounding the hotel. Parking is not permitted on double yellow or blue lines as these are for permit holders only. If you are parked on adjacent roads around the hotel, please collect a parking permit from reception.
